Who is responsible for your information

NourishNest is operated by Josie LLC. Josie LLC is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy at admin@nourishnest.live.

Paddle.com acts as Merchant of Record for purchases and processes payment-related information under its own privacy notice, as described in the Payments section below.

What is stored

Your account email, your profile details (life stage, pregnancy dating, height and weight if you enter them), the foods, meals, recipes, groceries and supplements you log, your food preferences, your saved assistant conversation, any support message you send through the app, and a record of the agreements you have accepted.

If you subscribe, we store your subscription status, plan, renewal or trial dates and the identifiers our payment provider gives us. We never receive or store your card number.

Payments

Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for NourishNest orders. Checkout, card details, tax and receipts are handled by Paddle on its own pages, under Paddle's own terms and privacy notice. NourishNest only receives the result of a payment — such as whether a subscription is active, which plan it is on and when it renews.

If your account has ever started a free trial, we keep a one-way, unreadable fingerprint of the account email so the same account cannot start a second trial. It cannot be turned back into your email address.

How your information is protected

NourishNest runs on a managed hosted database. Traffic between your device and the app is encrypted in transit. Every table holding personal information has row-level rules so a record can only be read or changed by the account that created it, and requests are checked against your signed-in session on the server, not just in your browser.

No online service can promise absolute security, so we do not claim that. We only store what the app needs to work.

How long information is kept

What you log stays in your account until you delete it or delete your account. There is no fixed automatic deletion period. When you delete your account, your data is removed straight away, apart from the unreadable trial fingerprint described above and any billing or tax records our payment provider must keep by law, which are held by Paddle rather than by us.

Why we are allowed to process it

Where data protection law such as the UK or EU GDPR applies to you: we process your account and logged information to provide the service you signed up for (performance of our contract with you); we process health-related information, such as pregnancy dating and what you eat, on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you accept these documents and can withdraw by deleting your account; and we process a limited amount of information to keep accounts secure and to prevent repeat free trials (our legitimate interests).

You can download a copy of your information yourself with Download my data in My Profile, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent and delete it, by using Delete my account in My Profile or by emailing us.

Who can see it

Only you. Every table in NourishNest is protected so that records can only be read or changed by the account that created them. Nothing you log is shared with other users, and nothing is sold.

How your information is used

To calculate your nutrient totals, show your pregnancy week, suggest foods and recipes, and answer your questions in the assistant. Photos of labels or menus you upload are sent to an AI service only to read the numbers on them, and the values are shown back to you to correct before anything is saved.

Removing your information

You can delete individual logged items at any time from the menu next to each entry, and clear your assistant conversation from the assistant page. You can also see every deletion option, including asking us to remove only some of your data, at nourishnest.live/data-deletion. To remove your whole account and everything in it, open My Profile and use Delete my account — this happens straight away, without needing to ask us first. If you would rather we helped, or you have another privacy request, email admin@nourishnest.live.

Health information

NourishNest is a personal tracking and education tool. It is not a medical record system, it does not diagnose, and it does not share information with your healthcare professional.

Changes to this policy

If this policy materially changes, you will be shown the new version and asked to acknowledge it before continuing. Your acknowledgement is stored with the version and date.
